Welcome to South Middle School where we have a strong tradition of supporting our student’s growth and guiding them to develop the skills and attributes necessary to be productive citizens in a rapidly changing global society. Our caring and committed staff strive to create a culture of belonging in which all students feel a sense of commitment to our school and local community.
At South Middle School we offer a wide range of exploratory courses such as, Music, Guitar, Band, Orchestra, Family and Consumer Science, Physical Education and Art. These courses complement our core curriculum of, Math, Science, Social Science, English-Language Arts and Reading. Our 8th grade students begin cultivating their Individual Plans of Study in their Career and Life Planning course. Their IPS will follow them to high school, where they were solidify their post-secondary education and career paths.
At South Middle School our dedicated professionals are committed to developing the whole child, through various teaching and learning methods. We are proud of students and look forward to their continued growth in the years to come.
