Library Media Center

Mrs. Sauber

As the Library Teacher at South Middle School, I get to do several of my favorite things on a daily basis - working with kids and teachers, and promoting reading and creating; I often tell people I have the best job in the whole world!

New this year in the Library Media Center is the SM MakerSpace. The MakerSpace is a place where students can plan, think, create, build, and make. Thanks to grants from the Salina Education Foundation and Credit Union of America, we were able to purchase all sorts of items for students, including Legos, hot glue guns, yarn, cardboard construction sets, electronics sets, and much more. The MakerSpace is open before school, after school and during Cougar Time. Check out this article from the Sept. 22, 2017 Salina Journal for more information.

Want to see if we have a book in the library about your favorite animal or the next book in your favorite series? Go to our online library catalog to search by keyword, title, author, subject, and series. You can also search by reading level.

Want to recommend a book for the library? Fill out this form, and we will look into it.

Please feel free to come by the library and CHECK OUT what we are doing - there's always something fun going on in the Library Media Center!
